Children and Teens

Storytime: A story and craft program for children, this program is held every Tuesday through Saturday at 10:00am, with special guests on Fridays, and at 10:15 on Thursdays at the Mt. Pleasant Branch

Baby Discovery Play: On the first Thursday of the month at 11:00am, we block off a section of the children’s library for an open play ages 0-3 playdate.

LEGO Club: On the third Saturdays of the month from 2:00-4:00, kids ages 4-12 can build a LEGO masterpiece according to a monthly theme or their own imaginations. (LEGOs provided)

Tween Book Club: This book club meets on the third Wednesdays of the month from 3:30-5:00, and is geared toward ages 8-12. Visit your library to grab a copy of this month’s book club selection.

Teen Advisory Board: The Teen Advisory Board is a group of teens, ages 13 to 18, from areas served by MCPL, who are interested in having a say in what the library does for them. Meetings are held at 6pm on the last Tuesday of every month at the Columbia branch library.

Adults

Book Club: This book club meets on the fourth Sunday of the month at 5:30pm, and is open to ages 18+. Visit the Columbia branch library to grab a copy of this month’s book club selection.

Creative Writing Club: First Wednesdays of the month 5-7pm (18+)

Genealogy Classes: Every other Tuesday from 5-8pm.

Chess Club: Tuesdays 5-7pm.

Book Sales: The Student’s Club conducts book sales every Monday from 9am-5pm, in the first room to the left at the entrance of the Columbia branch library. Proceeds benefit MCPL.
