1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Our year-round children's literacy program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, encourages parents and caregivers to spend 20 minutes a day reading to their pre-kindergarten aged child. Read more about the benefits of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative here.

Summer Reading

Every year from late May to late July, the Maury County Public Library joins libraries across the state to celebrate Summer Reading. MCPL hosts everything from large scale kick-off/wrap-up events to fun performances from special guests.  You can register for Summer Reading every May by coming in the Library or going to our READsquared site
